There are basically two things you need to ask yourself to help you decide on what to write about. The first is what are the topics that you find the most interesting? In order for you to keep on blogging, you need to passionate about the things that you write about. One way to discover these is to look back at the conversations you have with your friends. For example, do they frequently come up to you to ask about some tips on photography? If so, then you can write a blog about tips and tricks on photography, using some of your work as examples.
The second thing to take into consideration is why are you starting a blog in the first place. Are you writing a blog simply to keep your friends and family updated on your latest endeavors? Do you have a business and you want to use a blog as one of your methods for marketing your products and services? Or are you planning to start a blog to start a new career as a freelance writer or food critique? Your purpose for starting a blog will help you determine your blog's audience, giving you more an idea of what types of topics they will be interested to read about to keep coming back to your page.
